We are looking to build a network to improve autism education for EMS providers nationally and internationally, including other educators or other persons with similar web resources. If you are an EMT, Paramedic, RN (including PHRN), MD, DO, or you are another health professional (HP) or medical educator and you have an interest in autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), please let us know. Initiatives that we are seeking volunteer assistance for includes developing this web resource, developing training models in a variety of delivery methods and medical oversight for education, information and potentially for research. Autism and EMS Encounters
Additionally, we are looking for autistic persons (including Asperger’s Syndrome and PDD-NOS) who have had an encounter with an emergency medical service provider or an ambulance service, as well as ALS and BLS providers who have had job-related encounters with patients who have an ASD.
