If you are an emergency medical services professional or related public safety or healthcare provider and had a line-of-duty encounter with a person with on the autism spectrum, we'd love to hear about it!  Your story can provide valuable insight and information that we can't get anywhere else!  Understanding your perspective of an encounter, whether positive, neutral or negative, can help us develop materials to better educate EMS practitioners to respond to emergenies involving people with autism spectrum disorders.

We'd also like to hear from you if you have:

--Developed training or educational materials about autism for EMS professions, or about EMS for the autism community.

--Found effective strategies, techniques, methods, protocols or guidelines for EMS professionals when enountering a patient with autism.  This may include assessment, treatment or meltdown management.

Since understanding your story is more than completing a form, please complete the contact form.  We will get in touch with you by email or telephone to discuss your encounter in detail.  Note:  Please be patient, as AutismEMS relies on a small, core group of volunteers to maintain the site and collect research data.  It may be a few weeks before we contact you, but we will get in touch with you as soon as we can!
